At Princess Alice Adoption Home, our volunteers are an important part of our day-to-day life. By donating your time, you can make a lasting impact on the development of our little ones and help the smooth running of the Centre. We value commitment and consistency, as they are essential for making a real difference.
In accordance with national regulations, all adult volunteers must obtain police clearance. We also ask that you uphold our confidentiality agreement and respect the privacy of the children in our care.

Ways to Get Involved
Assist with Baby Care and Stimulation
Our registered volunteers work alongside Child Care Workers and the Granny Programme, helping to care for the little ones. Whether it’s playing, providing love and affection, or assisting at mealtimes, your time and energy will support their development until they leave with their “forever families”.
Lend a Hand
Around the Home
Office Assistance: Help with basic reception duties for an hour a week (during office hours, Monday to Friday).
Sorting Donations: We rely on in-kind donations, and these need to be sorted under supervision.
Maintenance: If you’re handy with DIY, we often have odd jobs around the house that could use your skills.
Offer your professional skills: We always welcome volunteers who can assist us with content creation: graphic design, photography, videography, copy writing etc.
Community Service
For volunteers 16 years and older, we offer the opportunity to complete your community service hours with us, by prior arrangement and during office hours.
